Four-Star 2024 Forward Tyler Betsey Commits to Cincinnati

The Bearcats are tracking towards one of the best recruiting classes in program history.

CINCINNATI — UC just landed a commitment from one of the top 40 players in the 2024 class. Four-star forward Tyler Betsey out of St. Thomas More (Connecticut) is headed to Clifton for his college career.

According to 247Sports, Betsey is the 32nd-ranked player nationally and the seventh-ranked power forward.

Since 2002, UC's landed commitments from just two players rated higher than Betsey on 247Sports (0.9875 ranking)—Jermaine Lawrence and Lance Stephenson. Betsey joins fellow four-star forward Tyler McKinley in UC's 2024 class and it moves them inside of the top 20 on 247Sports' team class ranking. Head Coach Wes Miller has landed four of UC's top-10 best recruits since 2002 (Betsey, McKinley, Jizzle James, Rayvon Griffith).

UConn, Creighton, Alabama, Duke, Indiana, and Villanova were all in his top seven this August. He took visits to Cincinnati, UConn, Creighton, Alabama, and Indiana. With the Cincinnati stop happening a few weeks back for the Oklahoma football game

He held 27 offers from schools like Alabama, UConn, and Auburn.
