Four-Star 2025 Safety Jovarius Lundy Places Cincinnati Among Top 10 Schools

The Bearcats could always use more reinforcements in the secondary.

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats are in the top 10 schools for four-star 2025 safety Jovarius Lundy out of Tampa Bay Tech (Florida).

Kansas, South Carolina, Miami (FL), Indiana, Texas A&M, Penn State, Maryland, Tennessee, and Texas join Cincinnati as the finalists.

According to On3, Lundy is the 246th-ranked player nationally and the 27th-best safety.

The junior posted 38 tackles (19 solo), with three interceptions, 10 pass deflections, one fumble recovery, and two touchdowns this past season.

The 5-foot-10, 150-pound cover man needs to add some weight at the next level, but he has plenty of raw skill as a junior. Lundy shows strong coverage ability as a timely ball jumper who plays a lot of soft coverage with downhill breaks at TB Tech.

He can also come up to the line and act as an edge setter in short-yardage scenarios. The junior won't wow people with big hits, but he does a nice job at wrap tackling to overcome a smaller frame.
