Bearcats Continue Record Performance in Ranked Overtime Games Following 81-77 Win Over TCU
CINCINNATI — The 81-77 overtime victory for UC on Tuesday continued some impressive NCAA Division I history. ESPN's Jeff Borzello noted that Cincinnati still hasn't lost an overtime game to an AP-ranked opponent since 1994.
The team has won 12 consecutive games like this, which is an AP poll record. UC is 2-0 in overtime games this season, also beating Howard.
These two victories could prove the difference makers in reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time this decade. Without them, UC would be firmly on or outside the bubble.
They got them though, and currently hold a 67% chance on TeamRankings to make the dance as a nine seed.
