Deion Sanders congratulates LaDainian Tomlinson on retirement from NFL Network

In this story:
It's rare to retire twice. But in the case of LaDainian Tomlinson, it was time to step away from the broadcasting world.
One of Tomlinson's well-wishers was Deion Sanders. The two were paired together in the NFL Network's coverage prior to Coach Prime's transition to coaching at Jackson State. While their playing careers never truly overlapped, they connected as Hall-of-Famers and part of sports' biggest fraternity.
Love ya my brother and it was a honor to work with u on @nflnetwork https://t.co/CinCamK0Ig

The former NFL MVP spent a majority of his playing career with the Chargers. He set the NFL record for most touchdowns from scrimmage in a season with 31 TDs in 2006. Tomlinson returns to the franchise now based in Los Angeles as a special assistant. A position he'll now enjoy more in the future.
Tomlinson's also one of the most-celebrated alumni in TCU history. He'll be rooting for Sanders' success at Colorado except for this year's season opener. The Buffs and Horned Frogs kickoff FOX's Big Noon coverage at 10 a.m. MT on Sept. 2.
