Jameis Winston's Florida State football career is one of the most storybook careers the sport has to offer. He led the Seminoles to a perfect season in 2013 -- his redshirt freshman season in Tallahassee.

While Winston played just two seasons and was at Florida State for three years, he made a huge impact on the program, bringing a National Championship to Tallahassee for the third time.

ESPN ranked the 80 best college football quarterbacks in the 2000s. Given the 23 seasons completed in that span, being on this list is a big feat, and Winston not only made the list, but was ranked the No. 16 quarterback in the era.

"Winston was around for only two seasons, but his impact was absurd: FSU rolled to its first national title in 14 years when he was a redshirt freshman -- he won the Heisman by more than 1,500 points -- and went on to win the first 27 games of his career," ESPN's Bill Connelly wrote.

There are some incredibly impressive names listed ahead of Winston, so being grouped with names headlined by Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield, who headlines the list, is great for Winston, who was drafted No. 1 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Not only did Winston bring home a championship for Florida State, but he had another near-perfect season to follow up his Heisman-winning campaign. In his second season as the program's starter, Winston led the program to the first four-team College Football Playoffs.

It's been a decade since Winston led Florida State to a National Championship win, but his tenure with the Seminoles will never be forgotten, especially as he's still active in the NFL, looking for a spark and potential starting job as a quarterback in the league.

Winston threw for 7,964 passing yards and 65 touchdowns with 28 interceptions in his two seasons at Florida State. He added seven touchdowns on the ground as well.
