Former FSU Running Back Hints at Potential Free Agent Landing Spot

With former Florida State running back Dalvin Cook looking for his next home in the NFL, he may have hinted toward his potential landing spot.

After the Minnesota Vikings released Cook, they were all in on having Alexander Mattison providing a cheaper option to be the starting running back. This allowed Cook to finally have the option to pick his team in free agency and to be recruited. With this comes big decisions, whether it’s for money, team fit, or winning.

It’s no secret that Cook has plenty left in the tank. He’s coming off the healthiest season of his four-time Pro Bowl career, and he stated that he feels the strongest he has since his time wearing garnet and gold in Tallahassee.

On Twitter, Cook liked a tweet from the Pat McAfee Show that suggests “there’s a lot of energy in the Jets building.”

This move would shock plenty, as it could have a ripple effect. Cook could potentially recruit Deandre Hopkins to join him with the Jets because he’s mentioned he wants to make a move like that.

Cook would also be joining a solid running back room that saw breakout rookie Breece Hall excel before injury last season. As Hall returns to his elite level play, Cook would assume the starting position, but eventually, the two would have to share the duties. Also, not to mention, Cook would be playing alongside former division opponent Aaron Rodgers and another former Seminole in defensive end Jermaine Johnson.

All in all, if Cook is hinting at his potential move, the Seminoles' all-time leading rusher could make waves in New York with an electric offense.
