The XFL is officially in the back half of the season with the league completing week 6. Teams are continuing to fight for playoff content but one club might already be out of the race. The Orlando Guardians led at halftime for the first time this season but that wasn't enough to end the franchise's six-game losing streak to begin head coach Terrell Buckley's tenure. The Guardians fell 26-19 and will essentially need to win out to have any shot at the postseason.

While Orlando has been unable to put anything together, the D.C. Defenders are still undefeated and remain the favorite to win the championship. Elsewhere, San Antonio running back Jaques Patrick put together his best game of the season and appears primed to lock down the starting job moving forward.

There are eight teams in the league that are split into two four-team divisions - the XFL North and XFL South. Each franchise will play the teams in their division twice while also playing the four teams in the opposite division once to make up a total of ten regular season games. The top two teams in each division will advance to the playoffs.

Multiple former Seminoles are playing in the league, including Orlando quarterback Deondre Francois, San Antonio running back Jacques Patrick, Orlando linebacker Terrance Smith, and D.C. linebacker Reggie Northrup.

Here's a complete look at the week and how former Florida State stars performed.

Orlando Guardians (0-6) vs. Seattle Sea Dragons (4-2): Sea Dragons 26, Guardians 19

Orlando Quarterback Deondre Francois: Did Not Play. Francois was active but he hasn't participated in the last two games

Orlando Linebacker Terrance Smith: Four total tackles (2 solo, 2 assisted) and one tackle for loss

Orlando Linebacker DeCalon Brooks: Brooks is on the Injured/Reserved list

Former FSU cornerback Tony Carter (defensive coordinator), former assistant Mark Snyder (linebackers coach), and former safety Devin Bush Sr. (defensive analyst) are members of Seminole legend Terrell Buckley's coaching staff in Orlando.

The Guardians led 10-9 at halftime but came up short in the fourth quarter on the way to another defeat. The offense showed promise but a lot of inconsistency while the defense continues to struggle. Orlando has allowed a league-worst 143 points to opposing teams. Seattle is on a four-game winning streak after starting the year 0-2.

Next Week: Orlando vs. D.C./Seattle at Arlington

Vegas Vipers (1-5) vs. St. Louis Battlehawks (4-2): Battlehawks 29, Vipers 6

St. Louis Wide Receiver George Campbell: Season-high three catches for 54 yards

The St. Louis Battlehawks are moving back in the right direction following a dominant victory against the Vipers. The Battlehawks were led by quarterback AJ McCarron, who completed 23/29 passes for 236 yards with three passing touchdowns and no interceptions in the win. Former Seminole George Campbell had his best performance of the season, coming down with three catches for 54 yards.

Next Week: Vegas vs. San Antonio/St. Louis at Houston

Arlington Renegades (3-3) vs. San Antonio Brahmas (2-4): Brahmas 15, Renegades 9

San Antonio Running Back Jacques Patrick: Season-high 15 carries for 82 yards and three catches for 18 yards

San Antonio Offensive Lineman Derrick Kelly: Kelly remains on the Injured/Reserved list after he suffered a calf injury in week 3

After falling to Arlington last week, San Antonio responded in the second matchup to take down the Renegades. Former FSU running back Jacques Patrick put together a strong outing, rushing 15 times for 82 yards and catching three passes for 18 yards. The 100 total yards are a season-high and the production might not slow down soon due to Kalen Ballage going down with an injury.

Next Week: Arlington vs. Seattle/San Antonio at Vegas

D.C. Defenders (6-0) vs. Houston Roughnecks (4-2): Defenders 37, Roughnecks 26

D.C. Linebacker Reggie Northrup: Inactive

D.C. was without leading tackler Reggie Northrup Sr. on Monday night but that didn't stop the team from coming away with another victory. The Defenders remain the lone undefeated franchise in the XFL after taking down Houston 37-26. After compiling a 17-8 advantage at the half, D.C. never looked back and is now 6-0.

Next Week: D.C. at Orlando/Houston vs. St. Louis
