Georgia Football Freshmen to Watch on Offense for GDay

Georgia football true freshmen fans will want to be paying attention to on Saturday for the Bulldogs' spring scrimmage.

College football fans will get their first look at the 2024 Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday during their annual spring scrimmage. Kirby Smart and his program came just short of another trip to the college football playoffs, but he is bringing back another loaded roster to get another shot at it.

Georgia returning quite a few starters on both sides of the ball this season but that won’t keep some of the freshmen from seeing playing time. So with that being said, here are a few freshmen on offense that fans need to be watching on Saturday.

Daniel Calhoun, OL

It didn’t take any time at all for people to start raving about Calhoun when spring practice started up. The former four-star prospect has already made a name for himself in an immensely talented offensive line room. It’s impressive when any true freshman can carve out some playing time for themself, but Calhoun has done that at a position that already had answers. He will likely play a vital role for the Bulldogs as a depth piece this season, so fans will want to keep an eye on him during the scrimmage.

Sacovie White, WR

Georgia went portal hunting at wide receiver this offseason but they also snagged a very talented player in the form of White from the 2024 recruiting class. He has been flashing throughout spring practice already and sounds like he will be yet another explosive weapon for offensive coordinator Mike Bobo to utilize. Since Georgia added quite a few players to the wide receiver room this offseason, White may not see an ample amount of playing time early on his career, but GDay will be a great opportunity to get a feel for his skill set.

Jaden Reddell, TE

The Bulldogs lost their star tight end Brock Bowers to the NFL draft this year but it sounds like they have another great one on the roster already. When spring practice kicked off, Reddell was one of the first freshmen who had a buzz all over his name. The Bulldogs will rely on Oscar Delp and transfer Benjamin Yurosek at the position this season, but Reddell could still find his way onto the field in year one if he keeps flashing and popping as he has. It's worth mentioning that he did tweak a hamstring early on into spring practice this season, so that could limit his playing time, but when he is on the field, fans will want to pay attention.
