2025 WR Tyler J Williams Trims Top Schools List To 13, Includes Georgia Tech Among Them
Georgia Tech target WR Tyler J Williams has narrowed down his list to a top 13 that includes Georgia, Alabama, Miami, UCF, Missouri, Auburn, Florida, West Virginia, Louisville, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Syracuse, and Georgia Tech. Williams picked up an offer from the Yellow Jackets back in March.
Williams is rated on every major recruiting platform except ESPN. According to 247Sports Composite, Williams is a three-star prospect, the No. 77 player in Florida, No. 84 WR, and No. 539 ranked player nationally. Williams plays for Sumner High School in Riverview, Florida. He was an electric playmaker for Sumner this past season hauling in 26 catches (led team) 585 yards (second on team) and 14 touchdowns (led team). It was the first time in his prep career that he finished with double-digit touchdowns. Williams led his team to an 11-2 record and the regional finals in Florida’s 4M playoffs.
He had his coming out party his sophomore year in the first game of the season in a shootout against Bloomingdale. In that game, Williams had six catches for 169 yards and three touchdowns. What is most impressive about Williams is that he is a weapon whenever he gets the ball in his hands. In addition to his impressive 14 touchdowns in 2023, Williams had five additional scores on special teams with three punt returns and two kickoff returns for touchdowns.
This past season he had three games where he had more than 100 receiving yards in a game and five games with two touchdown catches or more. Williams is also a multi-sport athlete who competes in track and field in the 100M and high jump and also plays basketball. Before narrowing down his list, Williams held 30+ offers. He has official visits set for May and June to Miami, UCF, and Syracuse, and will continue to take visits before an official decision is made.
There has been nothing said publicly about whether he will make a visit to Georgia Tech, but the Yellow Jackets remain a school that has his eye.
