Gonzaga without Luka Krajnovic for NCAA Tournament game vs. Purdue

Krajnovic did not travel with the Zags to Detroit

DETROIT - Gonzaga freshman guard Luka Krajnovic is not with the team as they face the Purdue Boilermakers in the Sweet 16 of the 2024 NCAA Tournament on Friday.

Krajnovic is sick and did not travel with the team from Spokane to Detroit. According to a team spokesperson, it is a non-Covid illness.

Krajnovic only played one minute in Gonzaga's second-round win over Kansas, but he gives the Bulldogs important depth at the guard position. The 6-foot-5 Croatian figures to be a prominent rotation player next season.

"Luka is a guard that can really help us," Gonzaga head coach Mark Few said earlier this season. "He is versatile and has decent size. He also had good experiences playing against older guys back home in Croatia."
