How to Watch Indiana Basketball Against Wisconsin Tuesday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana returns to action Tuesday night against Wisconsin.

Coach Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers are coming off an 83-74 loss at Penn State on Saturday, their fourth consecutive loss. On the other side, Wisconsin had a week off following its 74-70 home victory over Maryland on Feb. 20.

The Badgers won the season's first matchup, 91-79 in Madison, and can sweep the season series against Indiana with a win Tuesday.

But Indiana's 91 points allowed stands as the second-most all season.

Indiana's win in Bloomington last season snapped a previous five-game losing streak to the Badgers, who have won 11 of the last 13 matchups. Indiana is 4-6 in its last 10 home games against Wisconsin, dating back to the 2009-10 season. Indiana has not won a game in Madison since 1998. Meet the coaches

  • Greg Gard, Wisconsin: Gard is in his ninth season at Wisconsin with a 182–101 overall record and a 103-67 run in Big Ten play. The Badgers made the Sweet 16 in each of Gard's first two seasons, but haven't made it back since. Gard has led the Badgers to a share of the Big Ten regular season title twice, in 2020 and 2022. Gard was an assistant coach on Bo Ryan's staff at Wisconsin from 2001-15. He also has experience as an assistant coach at UW-Platteville and UW-Milwaukee.
  • Mike Woodson, Indiana: Woodson is in his third season at Indiana with a 58-39 overall record and a 27-29 mark in regular season Big Ten play. Woodson has NBA head coaching experience with the Atlanta Hawks from 2004-10 and the New York Knicks from 2012-14. Woodson played at Indiana University from 1976-80, and was named the Big Ten's Most Valuable Player as a senior under coach Bob Knight.
