Indiana Women's Basketball All-Time Leading Scorer Tyra Buss-Davison Makes Visit to Bloomington

Indiana women's basketball alumna and all-time leading scorer Tyra Buss-Davison paid a special visit to the Hoosiers on Monday as she heads home for the summer.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Monday, the Indiana women's basketball program got a special visit from the program's all-time leading scorer Tyra Buss-Davison as she stopped by Bloomington on her way home for the summer.

Buss-Davison leads the program with 2,364 points across her four seasons at Indiana from 2014-18. This season many players in post game press conferences credited the guard for paving the way for the women's program, so it's only fitting she stopped by to sign the Batdorf Fancher Legacy Wall hanging near the women's locker room inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

"It felt so good to be back at one of my favorite places!" Buss wrote in a tweet. "So many great memories made during my 4 years in Bloomington."

Indiana head coach Teri Moren was also excited to see her former Hoosier. Moren and Buss started their Indiana careers at the same time back in 2014 looking to build the program together.

"So good to have T-Buss back in Bloomington today!" Moren tweeted. "Always a Hoosier!"

After graduating from Indiana, Buss-Davison had a couple of coaching stints at the University of Evansville and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before continuing her basketball career in Lithuania where she played for team Aistes-LSMU. Her husband Brad, a former Wisconsin player, also played in Lithuania for BC Nevėžis.

Buss-Davison said she's home for the summer and then will go back somewhere else next season to play again. After living the seven-hour time difference and the language barrier, Buss-Davison and Brad can now enjoy their home before lacing back up the shoes and doing what the pair loves once again.
