BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana women's basketball will stay at No. 2 in the Week 16 Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

This is good news as it's difficult to surpass No. 1 South Carolina that is the only undefeated team left in the top 25 and is the reigning NCAA tournament champion.

Big Ten foe Iowa moved up one spot this week to No. 6 after two sizable wins over Wisconsin and Nebraska. Maryland also notched up one spot to No. 7 this week following a 66-61 victory over Michigan State in East Lansing.

Like Indiana, Michigan will stay put at its respective spot at No. 12 while Ohio State continues to move down to No. 16 after a loss to Indiana last Monday and a 67-55 win at Penn State.

Finally, Illinois is barely holding on tied at No. 25 with Middle Tennessee as the Fighting Illini defeated Penn State 85-62 on Sunday.

Indiana head coach Teri Moren said the Big Ten is the best conference in the nation this season, and that checks out as six teams are in the top 25 and have been consistently all season.
