UT Martin finished with a 13-17 record last season and fell out of the OVC Tournament in the first round after a 2-point loss to No. 8 seed Morehead State.

The Hoosiers now have three forwards on their roster including returning leading scorer and Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Mackenzie Holmes, rising sophomore Lilly Meister and Currie-Jelks.

Currie-Jelks is the first transfer the Hoosiers added to the roster this season. After the end of the regular season in March, forwards Kiandra Browne and Mona Zaric entered the transfer portal leaving space open for Currie-Jelks and even some more future Hoosiers if head coach Teri Moren and her staff opt to use up all the scholarship spots.

The decorated forward adds even more youth to the Hoosiers as Currie-Jelks is now one of five sophomores on the team.
