Point Spread: Indiana Double-Digit Favorite in Home Game With Morehead State

After a tough four-game stretch to start the month of December, Indiana resumes the mid-major portion of its schedule on Tuesday night with a home game against Morehead State. Here's the latest on the point spread, with a good history of what both teams have done vs. the spread this season.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana resumes the mid-major portion of its nonconference schedule on Tuesday night with a home game against Morehead State, a dangerous team that's favored to win the Ohio Valley Conference.

After a brutal December gauntlet of Maryland, Michigan, Auburn and Kansas, this might seem like a breather, but the Eagles are an 8-3 team riding a six-game winning streak. That's why the point spread is at a reasonable spot.

The Hoosiers are just 12.5-point favorites, according to the SISportsbook.com gambling website. The over/under is 141.5. It's the first of three final nonconference games at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Indiana plays North Alabama on Thursday, and Kennesaw State on Dec. 29.

The game starts at 6:30 p.m. ET. For all the information on how to watch the game, here is Jack Ankony's preview. CLICK HERE

The Hoosiers haven't been very good against the spread in this situation so far this season. They opened with three mid-major games, and even though they won them all against Florida Gulf Coast, Army and Wright State, they didn't cover in any of them and needed late rallies just to pull out the wins.

The Hoosiers seem to be playing much better now, though. Still, it's interesting seeing the line where it is. Indiana and Morehead State opened the season a year ago, and the Hoosiers were 24.5-point favorites. They won by 22, pulling away to win 79-57.

Here's what the Hoosiers have done against the spread so far this season:
