WATCH: Malik Reneau's Breakaway Jam Gives Indiana Huge Spark During 20-3 Run vs. Huskers

Malik Reneau gave Indiana a big boost during a 20-3 run in the second half. The Hoosiers big man raced down the floor for a breakaway dunk. giving IU a major spark and getting the crowd at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall into the game.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind — Just when you thought Indiana's chances of a win had evaporated, the Hoosiers put together a 20-3 run. One of the bigger moments in that stretch included a breakaway dunk by Malik Reneau to cut into the Nebraska lead.

Things were ugly for IU in the first half, trailing the Huskers 51-31 after the first 20 minutes. It looked like it might be an early night in Bloomington. 

Indiana put together a nice run in the first eight minutes of the second half, though, outscoring Nebraska 20-3 to eventually cut the deficit down to just three points at the under-12 timeout.

Reneau's steal and breakaway slam got fans at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on their feet. 

It didn't happen until the second half, but the Hoosiers finally showed some signs of life Wednesday night.
