Michigan reportedly  finds DL coach

New Michigan coach Sherrone Moore has reportedly found his next defensive line coach. Sam Webb of 247Sports reported that Michigan was closing in on a deal with current Wisconsin defensive line coach Greg Scruggs.

Scruggs spent just one season in Madison but had worked with Badgers coach Luke Fickell in Cincinnati. He got his start as the director of player development in 2018 and 2019 before making the move to defensive line coach for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

In 2022, Scruggs worked as the assistant defensive line coach for the NFL's New York Jets. He rejoined Fickell at Wisconsin last year.

Scruggs will replace Mike Elston, who left Michigan to join Jim Harbaugh with the Los Angeles Chargers.
