Indiana Gets First 2024 Commitment With Tight End Brody Kosin

Indiana football picked up its first commitment in the class of 2024, tight end Brody Kosin, a three-star tight end from Clarkston, Mich.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana was off to a slow start on the class of 2024 recruiting trail as the only Big Ten team without a commitment.

That changed on Saturday night when tight end Brody Kosin announced his commitment to Indiana, giving coach Tom Allen the first piece of his 2024 recruiting class.

Kosin is a 6-foot-6, 225-pound tight end from Clarkston High School near Detroit, Mich. A three-star recruit, Kosin is ranked No. 938 in the nation, No. 38 among tight ends and No. 21 in Michigan, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

He chose Indiana over offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Kent State, Kentucky, Marshall, Miami (OH), Pittsburgh, Temple, Toledo, Tulsa, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Western Michigan.

During his junior season, Kosin caught 17 passes for 250 yards and five touchdowns and also played on Clarkston's basketball team. To watch Kosin's junior year highlights, CLICK HERE.

With AJ Barner transferring to Michigan, tight end is one of Indiana's most inexperienced position groups heading into the 2023 season. Indiana recently added Stanford tight end transfer Bradley Archer, and Sam West joined the Hoosiers for spring practice as the second-highest ranked recruit in the program's 2023 class. Under position coach Kevin Wright, Bloomington natives Aaron Steinfeldt and James Bomba are expected to be two of Indiana's main contributors at tight end in 2022.
