Take Time To Enjoy Everything That's Left

A message from the Blue Wings Rising staff before today's National Championship game.
Take Time To Enjoy Everything That's Left
Take Time To Enjoy Everything That's Left

For every single player in Division I college basketball, there is only one date that is the "right" one for the season to end: the first Monday in April. And only two teams get to experience the opportunity to play basketball on the final day of the season.

Just like every player dreams of playing in the National Title game, every fan wants to be able to watch their team play on the final night of the season. With that privilege comes something that is all too rare in a single-elimination format: the certainty of knowing that no matter what happens, this is the final time for everything with respect to this team.

It's the final time that you get to worry about the game hours before tip-off. The final time to nervously scroll through Twitter reading every opinion and arguing endlessly about what's REALLY going to happen. The final time to absorb all the game previews, predictions and primers that you can possibly find.

But most of all, it's the final time for you to eagerly anticipate the tip-off that is coming. The last time to hear pregame introductions, to watch the team walk together onto the court, to watch the ball be thrown up for the tip with this team.

It's likely the last game for David McCormack and Ochai Agbaji in a Kansas uniform. It definitely is the final game for Mitch Lightfoot, Remy Martin, Jalen Coleman-Lands and Chris Teahan. With a huge performance, it might even be the final game for Jalen Wilson and/or Christian Braun.

All of this is a long-winded way of saying to make sure you don't overlook anything today. Find all the content you can and enjoy it fully. It can be our coverage here at Blue Wings Rising, the audio from the Rock Chalk Podcast, Twitter edits and hype videos and radio previews and any other type of content you can possibly imagine. Just make sure that you get your fill now, because after tonight, we wrap up the season, and it's on to the next.

Appreciate these players while you still can. Enjoy the journey that this team has taken all of us on this season. And know that, as Remy Martin so eloquently phrased it, going into the end of the season for this team, "the vibes are immaculate."

Rock Chalk!
