Game Primer: How to Watch, Key Players and Important Information for Kansas at Oklahoma
The Kansas Jayhawks are locked in to the 5th seed in next week's Big 12 Championship tournament, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything to play for in today's game.
While the Jayhawks currently seem to be a lock for the NCAA tournament, a win here would go a long way towards building some positive momentum and potentially improve their seeding before Selection Sunday. Add in that today's opponent, the Oklahoma Sooners, is likely going to be the first matchup next week, and a strong showing today can do quite a bit for this team.
The Kansas Jayhawks received a single vote in the AP poll this week and are currently unranked in both polls. The Sooners are #19 in both the AP poll and the Coaches poll.
Oklahoma leads the all-time series 44-33, including an 23-17 record in Norman. The Jayhawks have won 2 of the last 4 meetings, but Oklahoma won the last meeting earlier this season.

Key Players
Kansas
Holly Kersgieter #13 (G): She led the team with 16 points in the game earlier this season
Taiyanna Jackson #1 (C): She had a huge game on the interior in Lawrence, scoring 12 points and pulling down 12 rebounds, including 5 on the offensive end. Getting second chance points will be huge in today's game, so she'll need to repeat that performance.
Ioanna Chatzileonti #10 (F): There are a lot of players that could go here, but the sophomore forward tied for the second-most points in the last meeting at 12. And she has turned into one of the leading tone-setters for this lineup at the end of the season. That attitude and intensity will be huge on the road today.
Oklahoma
Madi Williams #25 (G): The Sooner star did it all for OU in the last game, with 20 points, 11 rebounds and 3 steals. However, she did commit 6 turnovers, so her ability to clean that up could go a long way to making this a rough day for Kansas.
Taylor Robertson #30 (G): Robertson led all scorers in the prior matchup with 24 on 8-11 shooting, including 4-6 from beyond the arc. She averages 17.0 points per game, and is a 46.0% three-point shooter on the season.
Skyler Vann #24 (G): The guard was one of the main defensive presences for Oklahoma in the last matchup, especially given that forward Liz Scott fouled out. She'll be needed again if OU struggles with Jackson's presence in the paint.
Fun Facts
With 10 rebounds in today's game, Chatzileonti can reach 300 total rebounds in her career. Her season high is 9 rebounds, which she has achieved 3 times this season.
The Jayhawks have closed the season with 4 straight games against opponents ranked in the Top 25. They will face a fifth in their opening game of the Big 12 Championship.
