The Kansas Jayhawks come home tonight for their fourth home contest of the season, and it will be both their toughest test to date and their first game against a fellow Power 5 opponent.

Coming off a dominant pair of victories last week, a 30-point win over the Maine Black Bears and a 20-point victory over the Saint Mary's Gaels, the Jayhawks face off against a former conference foe, the Texas A&M Aggies out of the SEC.

Overview

The Jayhawks used two dominant performances, one from Zakiyah Franklin and the other from Taiyanna Jackson, to get huge victories in both of their games away from home, but they will look to feed off the energy of a big home crowd to get the biggest win of the year.

The Kansas Jayhawks are still receiving votes in the AP Top 25 but have not gotten back to receiving votes in the Coaches poll yet.

Texas A&M leads the series 12-7, including each of the last 11. The last game occurred on March 8, 2012 in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament. The Aggies won that game 78-63

Here are the essentials:

The Numbers

Kansas: 5-0 (Massey - 35th overall, 38th offense, 64 defense)

Texas A&M: 4-2 (Massey - 73th overall 57th offense, 48th defense)

Line: KU -10.5

O/U: 129.5

Key Kansas Players

Holly Kersgieter (12.4 pts, 7.2 reb, 2.4 ast, 2.4 stl per game)

Kersgieter is still the player who have been most consistent from three point range in her career at Kansas, but she is struggling so far this season. Her averages have taken a dip while she is shooting just 27.6% from long range. That average will get better, but Kansas is just going to have to weather the storm of her working through it..

Taiyanna Jackson (16.0 pts, 10.0 reb, 1.6 ast, 1.0 stl, 3.0 blk per game)

I said previously that Jackson had almost gone unnoticed in her dominance in the post, but that changed in a big way against Saint Mary's. She was the driving force behind big runs in two quarters and made sure to announce what she was capable of to the rest of the college basketball world. Kansas will need that fire tonight.

Zakiyah Franklin (12.6 pts, 2.6 reb, 2.2 ast per game)

Franklin has has two back-to-back fantastic performances after losing her spot in the starting lineup. She has since earned her way back into the starting lineup and continues to be one of the better perimeter defenders on the team. Her presence will be needed against a Texas A&M team that can shoot from the perimter.

Fun Facts

Taiyanna Jackson has been one of the standout performers in the conference so far, leading the Big 12 in rebounds, blocks, field goal percentage and double-doubles. She also ranks 5th in scoring. She also accumulated her 300th rebound in the game against Saint Mary's.
