Key Players

Kansas

Holly Kersgieter #13 (G): Kersgieter was the leading scorer for the Jayhawks in the last matchup between these teams, and her hot shooting performance from 3-point range will be needed again if the Jayhawks are going to be able to get the upset.

Taiyanna Jackson #1 (C): In the last matchup with Baylor, she was largely held in check with foul trouble. Kansas will need a breakout game from her to stay in this one.

Iowa State

NaLyssa Smith #1 (F): Her 21 points and 11 rebounds in the last meeting were above her season averages of 20.2 and 9.2, respectively, but she's scored 28 or more points in 2 of the last 3 games for the Cyclones.

Sarah Andrews #24 (G): While her 7-10 shooting from 3-point range is not likely repeatable, she is an excellent shooter from that range. Kansas will need to find a way to keep her in check to remain in the game.

Fun Facts
