For those tuning in to the March Madness Selection Show, there was never any doubt that the Kansas Jayhawks were going to be selected as one of the top teams. The question that fans wanted answered was which region Kansas was going to be placed in, and which teams they could potentially face on the way to the Final Four.

The CBS crew did not announce the #1 seeds at the top of the broadcast as they have done in past years, so Kansas fans had to wait for other brackets to be revealed.

The top seeds were Gonzaga in the West, Arizona in the South, Kansas in the Midwest and Baylor in the East.

Joining the Jayhawks in the Midwest Regional are 2 seed Auburn, 3 seed Wisconsin, 4 seed Providence and 5 seed Iowa.

Kansas opens the tournament on Thursday with the winner of the First Four matchup between the Texas Southern and Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The game will take place in Fort Worth, TX, and we'll update with tip times once they are available. The second round matchup will be the winner of the San Diego State Aztecs and Creighton Bluejays on Saturday.

You can see the full Midwest bracket below:

The initial reaction to the bracket reveal seemed to be positive for the Jayhawks:

Ultimately, there is a lot still to break down, and we will continue to analyze the brackets in the leadup to the first game for the Jayhawks.
