The Kansas Jayhawks just finished up arguably their toughest matchup of the season. They played against the Baylor Bears on the road. It was a close matchup in the end as they lost this matchup by a score of 82-74. There were many good, bad, and ugly moments in this game. Here is everything you need to know about the good, bad, and ugly.

The Good:

Kevin McCullar Jr. returned to action today as he put up 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Hunter Dickinson also put up 20 points on the day. McCullar and Dickinson produce great games when they are on the court together.

The Bad:

There was a few bad points in the game. Mainly the performances of certain players that you’d hope could’ve produced more. Johnny Furphy didn’t produce quite the game that Jayhawks fans would’ve hoped for in this one as he had only 6 points but shot 1-5 on the day. If they could’ve had more success from the bench minutes that would’ve been very helpful however the bench still didn’t perform horribly and neither did Furphy. It’s just bad because you’d hope for more in a big-time game like this.

The Ugly:

They had more than 10 more personal fouls in the game and that’s not ideal whatsoever. The Jayhawks also could not contain Rayj Dennis as Dennis had a points-assists double-double as he had 19 points and 10 assists on the day. They also struggled to contain Jayden Nunn and Yves Missi as Missi had 17 points and Nunn had 18.

Kansas will play their second to last regular season game of the season as they play Kansas State at home on Tuesday at 9:00 et. They will face No. 1 Houston to close the season out before conference play.
