Top 25: Complete Chaos softens the blow for Jayhawks.

Kansas stays put in the AP Poll and only drops a single spot in the Coaches Poll, as the Big 12 solidifies their status as the best conference in the nation.

The past week in college basketball was absolute chaos, and the Kansas Jayhawks didn't escape it. But they were hardly alone in losing on the road to an unranked team this week. Thanks to all the upsets, the Top 25 polls look completely different this week.

Just two teams avoided an upset this week, and they took big leaps into the Top 5. The UConn Huskies took over the top spot, moving up from the fourth spot, while the North Carolina Tar Heels jumped up into the fourth spot in the AP Poll and third in the Coaches Poll. Purdue fell just to second in both polls, while Kansas stayed at third in the AP Poll and fell to fourth in the Coaches Poll. Houston rounded out the top five in both polls.

The Big 12 was the biggest beneficiary of the chaos, as multiple teams moved into the poll. Kansas and Houston were joined by Baylor (9th AP/9th Coaches), Oklahoma (15th/16th), TCU (19th/22nd), BYU (20th/19th), Iowa State (24th/20th) and Texas Tech (25th/25th). The eight teams is the most in the poll this week.

Kansas was the only team to maintain their spot in the AP Poll, with every team moving at least one spot in the Coaches Poll. The biggest fall came from Oklahoma, who fell 6 spots in the AP Poll and 7 spots in the Coaches Poll. Marquette fell 6 spots in both polls. The biggest jumps came from TCU in the AP Poll and Wisconsin in the Coaches Poll, with each moving up 7 spots.
