College Football Games to Watch, Week 5

In this story:
With #24 Kansas traveling to #3 Texas on Saturday, we know where your attention will be, so we decided to offer up some good options beforehand after the Jayhawks go deep into the heart of Texas to take on the Longhorns. Here are some of the best choices for morning, afternoon, and evening viewing.
10 Utah at 19 Oregon State, Friday, 8:00PM, FS1
We start with a prime time Friday night Pac-12 game featuring a soon to be Big 12 member in Utah. Oregon State just came off a heartbreaking loss to Washington State but are three point favorites at home over the highly ranked, 4-0 Utes. Friday night college football action doesn’t get much better than this one promises to be.
8 USC at Colorado, 11:00AM, Fox
Next, we stay in the Pac-12 and we continue to feature a future Big 12 team. After getting humiliated by Oregon last week, the doubters are out for Coach Prime and his Colorado Buffaloes again, but this time it’s the betting line. The undefeated Trojans are 21 point favorites on the road in Boulder. Can the Buffaloes beat the odds and take down USC or will they again prove that they’re more about the clicks than the wins?
13 LSU at 20 Ole Miss, 5:00PM, ESPN
After Kansas/Texas, you’ll have some choices. One is to pick up this battle of ranked SEC teams in the middle of the second quarter or so. Both teams have one loss to a very good team, so this game could go a long way in determining how good both teams are or aren’t.
11 Notre Dame at 17 Duke, 6:30PM, ABC
Ah yes, the teams that are traditionally hated for different reasons. But can you really hate Duke football? Sure you can. But can you hate them when they’re playing Notre Dame in a battle of ranked teams? Sure, if you want to. But if you want to go ahead and continue to hate Notre Dame, that’s fine too. Or maybe you want to skip this altogether and watch the ongoing SEC game or the soon to start Big 12 game? Completely acceptable.
West Virginia at TCU, 7:00PM, ESPN2
Both of these teams are 3-1 with a 1-0 record in conference, so outside of KU/UT, this was the most intriguing Big XII game I could find. TCU is a double digit favorite at home in this one.
