The Kansas Jayhawks are looking to start their second consecutive season with two straight wins as they take on the Illinois Fighting Illini tonight at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. The Jayhawks pulled away in the second half last week while the Illini needed a late field goal to avoid an upset.

Illinois is receiving votes in both Top 25 polls, while the Jayhawks are receiving votes in the Coaches Poll only. Illinois leads the series between these two teams 3-2, but Kansas won the only prior meeting in Lawrence (in 1892).
