Kansas Jayhawk Fan College Football Viewing Guide - Week 12
The Kansas Jayhawks are back on real TV as they host the return game for one of the biggest upsets of the season last year. But the Jayhawks taking on the Texas Longhorns won't be enough to fill your entire weekend with football, so we figured that we can help you to identify the games that have the best chance of holding your attention and whetting your appetite for football.
With that in mind, we have a primer for the Kansas Football fan. A full slate of action that you can turn on that will whet that football appetite but also be relevant to your rooting interests. We'll pick a main game for the big TV, and then a second one for flipping during commercials or to stick on that laptop/tablet/second TV that we all know is sitting right there. And with the main screen not occupied by the Kansas game, there will be plenty of interesting games to fill that screen, and others that you will need to make sure you at least follow on your phone.

Thursday
We have what should be a really good game tonight, especially if you liked what you saw from any of the other Conference USA matchups from earlier this year. And you better get your fill today, because the Friday games may be detrimental to your health.

Why Jayhawk fans should watch:
These are two teams that play a fairly entertaining brand of football. If you either have no interest in watching the Titans and Packers, or you don't have Amazon Prime Video, then this is a fantastic consolation prize.
Early Saturday
There's not much here that I would consider to be a top-tier matchup, but there seems to be a lack of those across the schedule this weekend. So I went with a few matchups that have some intrigue, either because of rivalry reasons or they happen to be fairly evenly matched teams. But of course Kansas Volleyball is always an option as the Jayhawks take on the Iowa State Cyclones for Senior Day.

TCU is trying to avoid getting upset as they make a bid for the College Football Playoff, and this week they draw a rivalry game against a team that just got flat out embarrassed last week. There is an open question as to which version of either of these teams is going to show up for Saturday.

Why Jayhawk fans should watch:
This is a low stakes game that should be fairly competitive that you can just turn on to enjoy some football. Both of these teams are trying to finish off pretty good seasons on a couple high notes heading into bowl season.

Saturday Afternoon
When the second "best" game is one that you pick purely for schadenfreude reasons, you know you have a pretty bad slate.

This is the one good game worth watching in the timeslot (other than Kansas vs Texas), and it's stuck on ESPN3 instead of an actual TV network.
Western Kentucky vs Auburn Tigers

The only reason to watch this one is to see if Auburn can continue to embarrass themselves. Unfortunately, there just aren't any other good games, and I refuse to believe the abomination that is the Iowa offense should ever be watched voluntarily.
Honorable Mention: Iowa Hawkeyes at Minnesota Golden Gophers
Saturday Evening
We finally get into some good matchups. Unfortunately, there still aren't very many of them, so the hope is that one of the teams out west doesn't disappoint and that Bedlam lives up to its name.

This is probably the best game of the day, and it features a UCLA Bruins team that lost a game it had no business losing to Arizona last week. But these are two high-scoring offenses that are playing in essentially a double-home game, so it should be entertaining.

It's Bedlam, which means that it should be an entertaining game. But these are two teams that are struggling much more than anyone expected, and so it will be interesting to see if Oklahoma can get the win it needs to make a bowl game this season.

Saturday Late Night
Finally a great late-night game. Pop this one on as you get ready for bed, or zone out on the couch and enjoy some fun football.

It's kind of crazy that the Pac 12 has the two best matchups on paper this weekend, but Kansas fans should start watching this timeslot to prepare for when the Big 12 has teams out on the West Coast and will be playing here. That and it will be some fun football to watch.
