Oklahoma at Kansas Game Time Announced

The Kansas Jayhawks are on a bye this week, but they won't have to wait long to get back on the field when they resume action. The Big 12 Conference announced the game times and broadcast information, and once again the Jayhawks are in a featured slot:

With no weeknight games scheduled in Week 9, the Jayhawks and Oklahoma Sooners will kick off the action on network television, filling the FOX Big Noon Saturday slot. The 11am spot is a premier spot for the network, as they routinely put their biggest matchups in the timeslot to avoid clashing directly with ESPN and CBS games.

Also on the slate for Saturday:

Houston at Kansas State - 11am on ESPN2
West Virginia at UCF - 11am on FS1
BYU at Texas - 2:30pm on either ABC or ESPN
Iowa State at Baylor - 2:30pm on Big12 Now on ESPN+
Cincinnati at Oklahoma State - 7pm on ESPN2

It's a big deal for Kansas to continue to draw in this spot, as fans are used to being relegated to streaming networks at odd times in the middle of the afternoon. With the recent results in the conference, it's hard to argue with this game being the marquee game of the weekend in the Big 12.

The timing of the game and the lack of marquee matchups scheduled for the weekend means that there is still a decent chance for either ESPN's College Gameday or FOX's Big Noon Kickoff to set up shop during the pregame festivities. Obviously a lot will still depend on what happens this week, but fans still might want to start preparing for a really early start to the day next week.
