The Kansas Jayhawks are a single victory away from clinching bowl eligibility on the season, and to get there they have to go through the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

It's been an uneven season for the Cowboys, but there is still some danger for the Jayhawks going on the road. So what does Kansas need to do in order to come away with another big victory?

Contain Ollie Gordon

The Oklahoma State running back is probably the only thing that this offense has going for them consistently. Kansas State found success last week by shutting him down and forcing Alan Bowman to beat them. That didn't work out well for the Cowboys, but their defense forced enough errors to hold on for the win. If Kansas holds Gordon below 70 yards, expect a big win in Stillwater.

Run to the Outside

The Cowboy defense is strong up the middle, which should make it a bit harder than usual for Daniel Hishaw to rush in the middle of the field. Luckily for the Jayhawks, they tend to excel at running outside the hash marks as well. Devin Neal is quick to the boundary, and the group of blockers they employ on the edge have been great at opening up opportunities, especially Jared Casey. If Neal can establish the outside run, that should make it easier to run inside too.

Win the Turnover Battle

This one seems obvious, but the main way that Oklahoma State built their lead last week was by taking advantage of mistakes from the Wildcats. Kansas has been pretty good at holding onto the ball in recent weeks, but they do still have a potential issue with fumbling. Bowman already has three interceptions in his limited time this season, but Kansas State didn't get any real pressure on him last week. Bring the pressure, hold on to the ball, and this game should be much easier for the Jayhawks.
