Jordan Allen is a 5-foot-8 170-pound WR from Buford. He received an offer from Kansas on October 3rd, 2023, and recently spoke with Blue Wings Rising. Following this I took a deep dive into his high school film to shed light on who Jordan Allen is as a football player.

Strengths:

Athleticism: Allen is an amazing athlete with blazing speed and the ability to stop at a moment's notice. As a 10th Grader Allen posted a 10.98 in the 100 meter which is faster than NFL wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase, Elijah Moore, and Garret Wilson who all ran over an 11-second 100 meter. Allen also competed in the triple jump and the long jump competitions in his 10th-grade season.

Return game: The return game is where Allen thrives as he uses his unique combination of patience, athleticism, and vision to constantly create big plays on special teams.

Run after Catch: Allen’s run after the catch ability is elite as he is constantly looking to make the extra move to create more space for himself. Allen’s combination of speed, balance, and vision becomes almost unstoppable in the open field as he is rarely able to be brought down in one-on-one situations.

Things to work on:

Adjusting for Size: With Allen only standing at 5-foot-8 170-pounds, size starts to become a concern. Allen will need to find a way to counter corners that are bigger and more physical while also proving that he’s durable enough to handle the wear and tear of playing at the next level.
