Five-Star Wide Receiver, Texas Longhorns Commit Fires Up LSU Football Fans With Post

In this story:
New Orleans (La.) five-star wide receiver Easton Royal is currently on an unofficial visit with Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers as the program intensifies its pursuit at flipping the top-ranked pass-catcher.
Royal, the No. 1 rated wide receiver in the 2027 Recruiting Cycle, revealed a pledge to the Texas Longhorns in November with Steve Sarkisian and Co. winning the sweepstakes.
But less than 24 hours after Royal committed to Texas, Kiffin was hired as the new shot-caller in Baton Rouge where LSU immediately began turning up the heat on the elite pass-catcher.
"All day at school all of my friends are pushing me to flip to the LSU Tigers," Royal told Fox 8 New Orleans. "You only get this process once - so I'm committed to Texas, but I'm still trying to figure out if that's the best decision for me.
"The ultimate end goal is to make the best decision for me and my family.
"Me and Coach Lane [Kiffin] are building a relationship. He texts me often just telling me to have a good week - sending me videos, motivating me, and recruiting me to be an LSU Tiger."
The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder has multiple SEC schools eyeing his services with the Florida Gators and Tennessee Volunteers also making a push to flip - alongside LSU.
Royal arrived in Baton Rouge on Wednesday to begin a multi-day stay with the LSU Tigers staff where he's now made his first social media post while in town:

The No. 1 wide receiver in America rolled with Kiffin's LSU motto: "Just Different" amid a strong pursuit from the hometown program.
Royal is coming off of a strong junior year where he rounded out the year with 53 receptions for 1,151 yards and 17 touchdowns with his track speed on full display - where he also thrives after finishing the 100-meter dash in 10.3 seconds last season.
Now, as LSU intensifies its pursuit, Kiffin and Co. continue surging for the elite wideout committed to the Texas Longhorns amid a full-court press for his services in the 2027 Recruiting Cycle.
