LSU Football Among Contenders for No. 1 Tight End in America Amid Lane Kiffin Pursuit

In this story:
Ruston (La.) five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson has locked in a trio of official visits for this summer as the elite dual-sport athlete prepares to further evaluate contenders this offseason.
Hudson checks in as the No. 1 rated tight end in America with programs galore offers the Louisiana native as a two-sport star on both the gridiron and hardwood.
The 6-foot-6, 230-pounder has earned scholarships from the likes of the LSU Tigers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Ole Miss Rebels, USC Trojans, Alabama Crimson Tide, and Texas A&M Aggies, among several others, but contenders are quickly emerging.
That includes Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers beginning to create distance for the top-ranked tight end in the 2027 Recruiting Cycle.
Hudson recently revealed his finalists with the hometown Tigers making the cut:
- LSU Tigers
- Nebraska Cornhuskers
- Texas A&M Aggies
- Miami Hurricanes
- USC Trojans
- Missouri Tigers
Sources familiar with Hudson's recruitment believe this one could ultimately come down to an LSU Tigers versus Nebraska Cornhuskers battle with both schools now locking in official visits with the dynamic offensive weapon.

LSU will bring in Hudson for a multi-day stay spanning from June 19-21 in what will be a star-studded weekend in Baton Rouge.
As for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Matt Rhule and Co. will host Hudson from June 12-14, the weekend before the LSU Tigers with the hometown program receiving his final official visit of the summer.
But it doesn't stop there for Hudson.
The Bayou State star has also set an official visit with the USC Trojans as Lincoln Riley and Co. look to enter the "Hudson Sweepstakes" with a multi-day stay set from June 5-7.
