Clemson Takes It To The Hurricanes, Hands Them Their 10th Loss Of The Season 77-60

Nijel Pack's Scoring Woes Weigh On Miami As Hurricanes' Collapse Continues, Now 15-10 On The Season

Miami was 11-2 at one point this season after coming off a win against the Clemson Tigers and reached as high as #8 on the AP Poll earlier in the season, but that Miami team appears to be long gone.

Since that point where they were 11-2, Miami has won just four games while losing eight with tonight being their eighth loss as Clemson beat them 77-60.

Chase Hunter was the main man for Clemson tonight, putting up 20 points en route to the Tigers' 17th win of the season. Fifth-year senior Joseph Girard III added 18 points as Clemson helped boost their NCAA Tournament resume.

Clemson didn't even need the help from their likely First Team All-ACC big PJ Hall, as he added just 13 points and six rebounds.

The story of the night was Nijel Pack, as it was a rough night for him as he couldn't get his shot to fall. Despite being one of the team's best scorers in the last several games, Pack finished without a point shooting 0-7 from the field.

Per usual though, it was Norchad Omier leading the way for Miami with 18 points and 12 rebounds. In what has been Omier's best collegiate season since joining the ACC, it looks like it will end without an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Kyshawn George was also solid in his return, putting up 13 points to go with five rebounds and six assists. However his four turnovers were tough to swallow for Miami, contributing to a team allowed 20 points scored off turnovers.

Whether it was poor shot selection in the first half or inability to get to the free throw line, Miami struggled to take control of the game when Clemson dealing with their own issues.

Next for Miami, it'll be a road matchup against Boston College Saturday at 4:00 PM which can be found on ACC Network.
