Jim Larrañaga's 2024 Recruits Sign NLI's for Top 10 2024 Class

In this story:
Following consecutive Elite Eight and a Final Four berth for the Miami Hurricanes, they've finally earned the respect on the recruiting trail.
After verbal commitments this offseason, it's now official for Miami's three recruits in the 2024 class. Jalil Bethea, Austin Swartz and Isaiah Johnson-Arigu all signed their National Letter of Intents to join the Miami Hurricanes next season.

With that, Miami sits firmly in the top ten of basketball recruiting rankings with their three man class. Bethea also officially becomes the highest-rated recruit in Miami Hurricanes history, taking the top spot over Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV.
In a release by UM Athletics, head coach Jim Larrañaga had this to say about the talented five-star guard:
"Jalil is a very exciting three-level scorer. He is a sharpshooter with deep range who can shoot off the bounce and shoot off the catch. He is very passionate about the game and is the ultimate competitor. He is an explosive athlete who can play in transition and above the rim.”
However the recruiting class might not be over quite yet, as Larrañaga and his staff could look to add some more talent to this top class. Several recruits remain on Miami's radar and the Canes could still make the push for a top three class.
Regardless if the class changes or not, this is a major moment in program history being able to land such a talented class early on. Bethea continues to rise up the rankings as he's been one of the biggest risers in the class.
If Miami is able to round out this class with some size in the front court, it gives Coach Larrañaga a class that could keep Miami atop the ACC despite potential departures in the program.
