Miami Booster John Ruiz Responds To NCAA Ruling

It didn't take long for billionaire business man John Ruiz to respond following the NCAA's first ever infractions ruling regarding Name Image and Likeness regarding Haley and Hanna Cavinder.
So the NCAA allows schools to inform students about NIL opportunities and says UM can’t? These girls decided where to go, no one else did it for them. Also the Cavinder Twins are the face of NIL. Ruiz took to his personal Twitter account to express his frustration with the NCAA. His response was as follows:
"So the NCAA allows schools to inform students about NIL opportunities and says UM can’t? These girls decided where to go, no one else did it for them. Also the Cavinder Twins are the face of NIL. We are in the US, the constitution safeguards the ability to contract. After digging for months and finding nothing they had to create something. If it affected our companies I would go after the NCAA. NCAA will eventually disappear!"
Now with new NIL laws established in Florida, it is likely that a ruling in this circumstance will not occur again given this falls under the previous laws.
It has been further clarified that not just the women's basketball team was under investigation, but rather the entire athletic department at the University of Miami.
Now with the Miami case being the first infractions ruling in the NIL era, it can be expected the more rulings will come to light in the following days. However, it seems for now that Miami is in the clear as the investigation only found infractions for women's basketball.
