It's the end of an era at the University of Miami. Women's basketball stars Haley and Hanna Cavinder, best known as The Cavinder Twins, will not be returning for their fifth season.

They announced their decision on Instragram on Tuesday afternoon.

"Thank you for an unforgettable season, the love and support we received from the University and the city was special.

We would like to thank our teammates and coaches for bringing us in as family and being part of a historic season.

With that being said, Hanna and I have decided to not take our fifth year and start a new chapter in our lives. The U will always be home and we are forever proud to be Hurricanes.

Lastly, to everyone who has supported us through our basketball journey - we can't thank you enough for all the love you gave each and every game.

What started as us playing basketball 16 years ago, turned into something bigger than we could ever imagine.

We love you Canes family."

The Cavinders did not specify what their next chapter would involve, but they are likely done playing college basketball since they've used their one time transfer from Fresno State, and would have to sit out a year in order to transfer again barring an approved waiver from the NCAA.

Haley and Hanna have been two of the faces of NIL in college athletics and have a massive footprint on TikTok and the rest of social media.

But most importantly, they made a big impact on the court. Haley, a starting guard, averaged 12.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. Hanna averaged 3.8 points, 1.6 assists and 1.8 rebounds off the bench.

They helped Miami through a historic Elite Eight run in the NCAA Tournament.
