Miami Hurricanes Can Change The National Narrative Against Texas A&M | Donno Video

In this story:
Throughout the week I have ingested national college football articles and pregame videos leading up to the Miami Hurricanes clash with Texas A&M today.
The Aggies offseason changes have been well publicized. Conner Weigman, now the full time starting quarterback, is accurate and talented. A&M has a great looking receiving corps and a defensive line filled with former 5-Star recruits. They hired offensive "genius" (and motorcycle enthusiast) Bobby Petrino to run their offense.
Meanwhile, nobody beyond South Florida, with the exception of some of the hardest working college football analysts, seem to have any idea what the Miami Hurricanes have been up to.
The Aggies got better, but so did the Canes, and very few seem to have taken the time to notice.
The coverage on Miami has been lazy. I can't help but feel like many if not most of those who cover college football on a national level have not bothered to study their offseason moves.
Shortly before the season began, ESPN's Greg McElroy accused Mario Cristobal of focusing only on the transfer portal and neglecting high school recruiting as a result of that. Huh? Cristobal pulled in a top seven recruiting class of 2023.
As I do before every game, I've read several game previews from Texas A&M bloggers and national publications. Few of them acknowledge Miami having any chance to win the game or even win a specific matchup at any position.
Everyone is quick to mention Jimbo Fisher's staff changes, but no one talks about Mario Cristobal changing seven of his assistants from last year. I suppose that's to be expected, since names like Lance Guidry and Shannon Dawson don't create the buzz and clicks of a Bobby Petrino.
This is a matchup between two teams who each underperformed and went 5-7 last year. I believe both of these squads are drastically improved.
If the Hurricanes want to generate the sort of coverage that their SEC opponent is getting, they have the opportunity to earn it on the field today.
Kickoff between the Miami Hurricanes and Texas A&M Aggies is set for 3:30pm from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.
