The Miami Hurricanes are 4 and a half point underdogs (+4.5) against the Texas A&M Aggies.

The Canes looked solid in every phase of their 38-3 win over Miami (OH) but the Aggies will be a different beast. Bigger, faster and stronger.

Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal addressed the media on Monday to preview the matchup.

Texas A&M won in a blowout of their own, 52-10 against the New Mexico Lobos.

"The score kept changing in a hurry because of the explosive plays they made," Cristobal said of A&M. "They're not a one-dimensional team. They run the ball really well and they protect the quarterback really well."

Aggies redshirt freshman quarterback Conner Weigman lit up the stat sheet with 5 touchdown passes on 236 yards. Receivers Evan Stewart (2) and Noah Thomas (3) each caught multiple TD's.

Cristobal was asked about the injury status of Hurricanes wide receiver Colbie Young. Young left the game during the second quarter against Miami (OH) but did return.

"He's okay," Cristobal said of Young. He noted that Young took a shot to the leg, returned, and has been full go ever since.

On tight end Elijah Arroyo, who didn't play in the opener due to injury: "We expect he has a good chance to be available," but Cristobal is unable to give a definite update on his status so early in the week. "It's progressing... it's just hard to say. From what we saw today, we're very encouraged." Arroyo suffered a torn ACL early last season and has been working his way back to the field.

Cristobal discussed the rumored injury to quarterback Tyler Van Dyke's throwing hand. Van Dyke appeared to be wearing a splint or tape in the opener.

"He's fine. He liked (the tape on his finger) when he tried it. So much was made of it in the media when they saw him with that. People (talked like) it was a prosthetic finger or something (chuckles). Whatever makes him feel comfortable. We saw him throw the ball. There are no limits on what he can do. Our training staff is very high tech and cutting edge where they create some really unique ways to enhance the efficiency or alleviate any issues that our guys may have. In Tyler's case, it's more efficiency and operational."
