Numerous Hurricanes Recognized For PFF Preseason All-ACC Honors

There's no denying last season didn't go to plan for the Miami Hurricanes, as the offense never got going under Josh Gattis and Kevin Steele's defense got embarrassed by Middle Tennessee State in one of the darkest moments in program history.
Mario Cristobal will head into year two with an almost completely changed staff as aim to work their way back to the top of college football.
Along with some staff changes, Miami was able to bring in some transfers that should provide instant impact and also return some top-end talent to the roster.
As a result, seven Miami Hurricanes football players were named to the PFF Preseason All-ACC Team.

Starting out on the offensive side of the ball, PFF seems to see the vision with "The Great Wall of Mirabal" as three Hurricanes offensive linemen received honors. Two of which are the newcomers with Alabama transfer Javion Cohen and UCF transfer Matt Lee.
The last of the three is Zion Nelson, who returns to Miami this year after an injury-riddled season and hopes to return his name to the top of draft boards.

For the defensive side of the ball, Miami dominates the list with four selections. The first two names come from the defensive line, with Akheem Mesidor and Leonard Taylor both receiving honors.
Mesidor was Miami's most productive front seven player this past season, tallying seven sacks and four pass deflections. Taylor enters this coming season on NFL Draft radars, as the former blue-chip recruit looks to have his breakout season.
As expected, the Hurricanes safety duo finds themselves honored with James Williams and Kamren Kinchens.
Williams led Miami in tackles this past season, and has all the physical tools at 6-foot 5 to dominate this next season.
However Kinchens is the star of this Hurricanes team, as the reigning All-American will look to cement himself as the top safety in the country and position himself to be a potential first-round selection in 2024.
