Miami Defensive Freshmen: Which Players Make Immediate Impacts? | Video

In this story:
Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes are 27 days from their opening game against the Miami of Ohio RedHawks. That’s also how many days that freshmen like Rueben Bain, Jr. and Jayden Wayne, among many talented options, still possess to get ready to play their first collegiate game.
This article focuses on the defensive side of the football. Here’s the simple question that’s already been raised via Twitter:
On Sep. 2, which Miami defensive true freshman makes the biggest impact versus Miami of Ohio?

If you feel it's a player other than the one's listed below, feel free to leave a reply.#TheU
From the four players listed above, what do you think? A few points about each of the four prior to further going into each of them within the video below.
Damari Brown, Cornerback
He Should Play Early Because: For a player coming out of high school, he’s much further along from a technical aspect than many freshmen college cornerbacks.
Why He Could See Limited Action: Miami’s cornerback depth chart improved over the course of the off season, including multiple transfers like his own brother, Davonte Brown from UCF.
Raul Aguirre, Linebacker
He Should Play Early Because: Instinctive, physical, and loves the game to the point where Aguirre enjoys learning about technique.
Why He Could See Limited Action: Linebacker can be quite difficult for a freshman like Aguirre to learn all the checks and assignments.
Reuben Bain, Jr., Defensive End
He Should Play Early Because: Natural pass rusher that already proved he’s ready for college football based on the spring game with three sacks.
Why He Could See Limited Action: Bain must learn how to play the run just as well as the pass, and doing so versus 300-plus-pound college offensive linemen will not be an easy transition.
Jayden Wayne, Defensive End
He Should Play Early Because: From the high school ranks, Wayne has shown the ability to play the run or the pass with his length, size, and agility.
Why He Could See Limited Action: Just like with Bain, the run game could be more difficult for a true freshman defensive end.
Keep in mind that other Miami freshmen defensive players such as cornerback Robert Stafford and linebacker Malik Bryant could very well hit the field against the RedHawks and every game thereafter. It’s hard to say. With that in mind, here’s a further breakdown of each of the four players from the Twitter poll.
