The Miami Hurricanes have been recruiting across the United States of America, with safety and linebacker recruit Cam Pruitt as the latest piece evidence after gaining a commitment from junior college cornerback Demetrius Freeney on Friday.

Freeney was actually added to Miami's 2023 recruiting class and will enroll this week. Pruitt, well, he helped the Canes get into double digits within the 2024 class, as he's the 10th player to join the fold.

It’s never easy to pull talent out of the state of Alabama. That’s what Mario Cristobal and his staff accomplished, however, with the talented defender from Theodore (Ala.) High School.

Located just to the west of Mobile, Theodore has been located in an area that’s absolutely loaded with talent. Cristobal knows that well from his time on the Alabama coaching staff.

The 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Pruitt had offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, LSU, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Stanford, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Colorado and Michigan State among others.

He has been ranked a 4-star on 247 Sports, the No. 25 linebacker in the country, and the 19th best player in the state of Alabama.

Pruitt has been on an official visit to The U that started on Friday. Obviously he’s enjoyed his time in South Florida.

Welcome to The U Mr. Pruitt!

All Hurricanes will provide a film review breakdown of Pruitt in the near future. He's certainly a lot of fun to watch once the tape has been turned on.
