In a highly anticipated matchup at Hard Rock Stadium, the Miami Hurricanes put on a spectacular performance, defeating the Texas A&M Aggies by a convincing 48-33 score.

While the game itself was a thrilling display of football prowess, it was also an opportunity for Miami to showcase its program to a significant number of recruits in attendance. I reached out to some of these recruits to gather their reactions and insights on the game and their overall experience.

Miami Commit 2024 QB Judd Anderson - Warner Robbins (Ga.) High School

The game day atmosphere at Hard Rock was electric! The fan support for the team was crazy and the team was playing with that U energy! I was especially impressed with Coach Dawson’s offense and how explosive it was. I could definitely see myself in it!

2025 4-Star WR Koby Howard - Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Western

The game was awesome. I’m glad I got a chance to experience it live with other big time recruits. Great Atmosphere! The coaches talked with some of us before the game and told us that we were going to be excited about the product that they were going to put on the field, and they weren’t lying. I loved that they made an effort to throw the ball down the field often and Van Dike was pretty accurate, and the line gave him plenty of time for the most part.

If last night game is an indication of things to come for Miami then they have my full attention. I like Miami a lot, and I love Coach Christabol and Coach Beard as coaches to play for. It was just one game and I’m hoping UM can keep the momentum going to turn this program around to be how they used to be before I was born. I’m looking forward to getting back to another game real soon

2025 4-Star CB Chris Ewald Jr - Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna - Michigan commitment

The stadium was packed the energy was great from the fans. That was a big win for the program. Coach Mario (Cristobal) always tells me that he is gonna work is butt off to bring Miami back to where it was. Yesterday's win was step in the right direction. They are grinding in Miami and it showed with that win. I’m excited for the Canes. Coach (Jahmile) Addae had the secondary flying around too. I could see my self playing for the home town team if they keep this up.

2026 WR Denairius Gray - Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna

2024 4-Star TE Tayvion Galloway - Pickerington (Ohio) Central

Was electric every minute of the game. I loved my time with coach Cristobal and (coach) Woodiel. Will be back next month.

2025 3-Star DT Jarquez Carter - Newberry (Fla.) High School

It was a great experience. The fans were amazing. Loved their energy. I definitely loved watching Coach (Jason) Taylor and coach Joe (Salave'a) coach. Overall it was a great time and experience.

Winning games in front of top recruits can indeed provide positive momentum in recruiting. When high school athletes witness a team's success firsthand, it can make a significant impression and influence their decisions.

The Canes are off to a strong start with a 2-0 record and a ranking of 22nd in the nation. A start to the 2023 the season and a national ranking can certainly boost recruiting efforts for Miami, but it's important for the program to maintain its momentum and success to attract and retain top talent. The win versus the Aggies did just that.
