As the Miami 2025 recruiting class grows, the Hurricanes will have many options for their wide receiver needs.

UM’s wide receiver priorities are prospects ranked highly by recruiting services like Rivals and ESPN, among others. If the Canes can add even two of these young men to their current commitment Waden Charles, it will help them land a top-10 class.

Here’s a breakdown of top Miami wide receiver recruits and where things stand, based on intel and interviews.

Vernell Brown III Orlando (Fla.) Jones

A speedy all-around offensive weapon that can play slot or flanker. Also a threat as a return man. He also possesses an elite academic profile and that point certainly adds to Brown’s value as a recruit.

Ohio State is probably the team to watch, with Miami, UF, Florida State, and Stanford all under heavy consideration.

Jaime Ffrench Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin

According to 247’s Steve Wiltfong, Ffrench will take an official visit to LSU in May. He is coming off an unofficial visit to Baton Rouge where he hung out with Bryce Underwood. He’s been to UM multiple times this offseason so the Canes do have a good shot.

Ffrench is one of the twitchiest receivers in the country and he’s capable of changing a game with a simple five-yard hitch that he turns into an 80-yard touchdown.

Koby Howard Davie (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna

Look for a college decision to come sooner as opposed to later. Originally from the Pensacola area, Howard could end up with Tennessee, Florida State, Miami, or one of several other schools.

He’s been to UM many times and is a burner that fits in the mold of many former Hurricanes that went to the NFL.

Cortez Mills Homestead (Fla.) High School

One of the most dynamic receivers in the country, Mills is leaning towards UM going by two crystal ball predictions for the Canes to win his recruitment. He can certainly make the big-time plays:

Mills is probably the most likely recruit from this list to join the Hurricanes.

Joshua Moore Miami (Fla.) West Broward

His ranking is too low if one goes by the official visits. Florida (May 31), Florida State (June 7), Georgia (June 14), and Miami (June 21) are the first four official visits set for Moore. A 6-foot-3 receiver that’s roughly 200 pounds, Moore’s size does not mean he cannot outmaneuver the opposition.

Those points are likely why the Canes would love to add more to their wide receiver room. Moore could very well end up in Coral Gables and help add immediate talent to the boundary and/or flanker positions.

Tyler Williams Riverview (Fla.) Sumner

“I’m still working out OV’s but Miami and UCF will (each get one),” per Williams. He is one of the most elusive wide receivers in Florida and is a deep threat.

Williams’ recruitment continues to escalate and it will be interesting to see which official visits he takes.

Dallas Wilson Tampa (Fla.) Tech

Wilson’s game is similar to Moore’s. He’s a big-bodied receiver with the ability to make defenders miss after the catch or use his athleticism to create room to make a catch.

While committed to Oregon, Wilson is going to take an official visit to Miami. on June 7, per On3. Going by additional intel, look for Wilson to take at least three official visits before coming to a final decision.
