Mark Dantonio picked up his third commitment for the 2011 class this morning when Taiwan Jones from Anchor Bay High School in New Baltimore, MI made his decision to play football for the green and white.

Here is some great video of Jones playing basketball you can see WHEN YOU CLICK RIGHT HERE.

Spartan Nation has reported that this could be the best recruiting class in Michigan State history and three commitments into the class, it certainly looks like it will be.

Taiwan Jones is a 6’3, 215 pound athlete who could play multiple positions for the Spartans. He will get looks on defense primarily as a safety or if his growth continues possibly as a LB.  On offense as a WR and of course special teams. Before all is said and done, his offensive explosiveness combined with his vertical jump and 4.5 forty-yard dash will most likely result in him landing at the WR position.

Jones will not only see immediate playing time when he steps on campus, he will also make an immediate impact. His role will be limited as he learns the offense, but as he matures this coaching staff will be finding all sorts of ways to get him the ball, similar to Keshawn Martin.

He has the ability to play on the defensive side of the ball, however he has much more natural ability on offense and would not be ready to make an immediate impact on the defensive side of the ball.

Jones is another high quality kid off the field as well, respected by his classmates, teammates and teachers. He displays the same type of work ethic in the classroom as he does to football.

Expect this core of three Spartan commits to start luring in their friends and other top players across the Midwest.

Here are the other two players already committed to the Spartans 2011 class.
