Recruiting Rundown: Spring Visits Continue for Mississippi State Football

The Bulldogs continue to host some of the top prospects in Mississippi and elsewhere.

STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi State Bulldogs are slightly over two weeks away from their annual Maroon and White Spring game. However, they are still hosting several visitors and preparing for the 2025 recruiting class.

Braylan Womack- March 30th

It is never too early to get young guys on campus, especially elite talent. The 2026 safety is precisely that, as he is ranked a consensus 4-star.

The Hartfield Academy product holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. There is a lot of time left with his recruitment, but it is essential to get the 5-11 185-pound safety on campus several times early and maybe get an early commitment.

Mario Nash Jr.- March 26th

A 2025 prospect was on campus last week, and the consensus 4-star has already officially visited Mississippi State. The 6-4 270 pounds interior offensive lineman will officially visit MSU on June 21st, and the Kemper County native will also officially visit USC on June 7th.

Nash is one of the top prospects in Mississippi for 2025 due to his elite footwork and quickness. The Bulldogs would love to lock this recruitment down so he can be a leader for the class.

Carde Smith- March 29th

It is clear that Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby and offensive line coach Cody Kennedy understand the importance of the trenches in the SEC. Smith is a consensus 4-star offensive tackle from Mobile, Alabama, who holds offers from Auburn, Florida State, and Florida.

The 6-5 285 pounds offensive tackle has already set up a pair of official visits to Auburn and Mississippi State this summer. It will be a tough pull for the Bulldogs to beat off Auburn for an Alabama prospect, but it is a positive sign that they are in the game for him.

Grant Kitchens- April 2nd

The Bulldogs hosted a 2026 prospect earlier this week, who might be flying under the radar. Mississippi State has offered the Nanih Waiya native, but no other SEC school has pulled the trigger.

His size catches the eye as the offensive tackle is listed as 6-8 298 pounds. Kitchens also spent some time at Georgia this week; fewer dominant Mississippi prospects go unnoticed today because the secret is out, but he could go unnoticed.

Roman Womack- April 6th

The Bulldogs will host a legacy play this weekend as the son of MSU legend Floyd “Pork Chop” Womack. The DeSoto Central Jaguar does not have an offer from MSU yet, but at 6-6 330, he has the size to play SEC football.

The visits will not slow down, so come back to Cowbell Corner next week for the next rundown.
