How to Watch: Missouri Men's Basketball at South Carolina

The Missouri men's basketball team is running out of time to turn their rough start to SEC play around.

The Missouri men's basketball team is running out of time to turn their winless SEC record around, as the schedule will only become increasingly more difficult as March is on the horizon.

The Tigers are in must-win mode the rest of the way if they want a shot to dance in the madness and earn a higher seed in the SEC tournament, despite it still being several weeks away.

Their next challenge will be at South Carolina in a battle for Columbia. Upsets tend to start taking place at around this time of the college basketball season as the Gamecocks pulled one off against No. 6 Kentucky just a couple of days ago.

This is the second time this season that these two schools will square off, as the Tigers put up an even fight in the Gamecocks' overtime 71-69 escape on Jan. 13.

What: Missouri Tigers (8-11, 0-6 SEC) vs. South Carolina Gamecocks (16-3, 4-2 SEC)

Where: Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, S.C.

When: Saturday, Jan. 27, at 12 p.m. CT

TV: SEC Network

Series: Missouri leads 9-8 with the first meeting occurring on Jan. 22, 2013.

Last meeting: South Carolina outlasted Missouri 71-69 in an overtime battle just a couple of weeks ago on Jan. 13. Gamecocks guard B.J. Mack led his team in scoring with 21 points, but three other players also finished with double figures, including Jacobi Wright, who hit the go-ahead shot with 15 seconds remaining. Missouri forward Noah Carter's dominance late in regulation and throughout the overtime period (he finished with 23 points) wasn't enough to pull off the upset.

Last time out, Missouri: The Tigers remained winless in the SEC (six-straight losses) after falling to Texas A&M 63-57 on Jan. 23. Guards Sean East II and Tamar Bates combined for 33 of their team's points and were the only players that hit double digits. Aggies guard Wade Taylor IV led his team with 19 points, but three other players scored at least 10.

Last time out, South Carolina: The Gamecocks upset No. 6 Kentucky 79-62 on Jan. 23. They held the Wildcats, one of the best offenses in the country, to their lowest point total this season. Guards Ta'Lon Cooper, Meechie Johnson Jr. and Wright scored a combined 48 points, including seven makes from behind the arc.
