How to Watch: Missouri Men's Basketball at Vanderbilt

The Missouri Tigers will face the only other SEC team that is yet to win against a conference opponent.

The Missouri men's basketball team has been at the bottom of the SEC since conference play began, as it remains winless through eight contests. However, the Vanderbilt Commodores, the Tigers' next opponent, have also failed to win against their southeastern rivals.

Simply put, the loser of Saturday's game in Nashville, Tenn., will officially be in last place in the conference. At this stage of the season, it'll be very difficult for both teams to turn things around, but the defeated team will lose that much more momentum.

Throughout the losing streak, only a couple of Mizzou players have truly shined. But on Saturday, they'll need an all-out effort if they don't want to take sole possession of last place in the SEC.

What: Missouri Tigers (8-13, 0-8 SEC) at Vanderbilt Commodores (5-15, 0-7 SEC)

Where: Memorial Gymnasium, Nashville, Tenn.

When: Saturday, Feb. 3, at 2:30 p.m. CT

TV: SEC Network

Series: Missouri leads 9-7 with the first meeting occurring on Dec. 8, 1958.

Last meeting: Missouri narrowly defeated Vanderbilt 85-82 on Jan. 7, 2023. Kobe Brown, DeAndre Gholston, D'Moi Hodge and Noah Carter each scored 16-plus and combined for 69 points. The game was kept close due to four Vanderbilt players also scoring in the double-digits and combining 52 points.

Last time out, Missouri: Tigers guard Tamar Bates has been one of the team's only bright lights in their winless start to SEC play and Missouri's last matchup against Arkansas was no different. The junior's 29 points and five steals weren't enough to take down the Razorbacks as the Tigers lost 91-84.

Last time out, Vanderbilt: The Commodores also continued their winless start to SEC play in their last matchup against Auburn, as they were decimated 81-54 on Jan. 31. Vanderbilt forward Ven-Allen Lubin and guards Evan Taylor and Tyrin Lawrence each scored in the double-digits, but that obviously wasn't enough.
