Fourth Quarter

Sacked, punt: OM 28, MU 3 - 9:41 remaining in Q4

Mizzou gained just 24 total yards of offense on the drive, its fourth consecutive drive with less than 25 yards gained. Simmons was sacked on third-and-long to set up fourth-and-14, leading Brunno Reus to, once again, trot out for a punt.

Out of reach: OM 28, MU 3, 12:44 remaining in Q4

Chambliss kept the snap and ran it in himself for a 5-yard touchdown run to cap off a 79-yard touchdown drive, giving Ole Miss a 25-point lead.

Third Quarter

Another punt: OM 21, MU 3, 1:22 remaining in Q3

After making a field goal on its opening drive, Missouri has punted on six of its last eight drives — the other two ending with a missed field goal and a turnover on downs.

Punt: OM 21, MU 3, 5:38 remaining in Q3

Missouri punted after just five plays that gained a total of 20 yards. Tight end Jude James caught a 22-yard reception, but three Jamal Roberts runs went for a total of 3 yards, and a Nicholas Rodriguez false start pushed the Tigers back. Ole Miss begins its drive on its own 24-yard line.

Turnover on downs: OM 21, MU 3 - 8:57 remaining in Q3

Missouri safety Santana Banner forced and recovered a fumble to set the Tigers up on Ole Miss' 45-yard line. Missouri gained just 4 yards on the next four plays and turned the ball over on downs.

Punt — early: OM 21, MU 3 - 11:52 remaining in Q3

Missouri punted after gaining 34 yards through eight plays on its opening drive of the second half. Ole Miss is dangerously close to putting this one out of reach.

Second Quarter

Drops give Rebels possession back: OM 21, MU 3 - 1:11 remaining in Q2

Drops from Cayden Lee and DaMarion Fowlkes on second and third down forced Missouri to punt, giving the Rebels an opportunity to score with a little over a minute left before halftime.

Ole Miss extends lead: OM 21, MU 3 - 2:13 remaining in Q2

After Craig's missed kick, Ole Miss marched 80 yards downfield for its third touchdown of the game. Chambliss found Caleb Cunningham for a 17-yard touchdown reception over Chris Graves.

Squandered MU opportunity: OM 14, MU 3 - 5:44 remaining in Q2

Missouri got stopped three consecutive times on goal-to-go, and Blake Craig shanked a 23-yard field-goal attempt — Missouri leaves left on the board.

(Sort of) former Tiger scores: OM 14, MU 3 - 10:13 remaining in Q2

Horatio Fields, who signed with Mizzou for a few weeks in the winter but was eventually released from his contract and instead signed with Ole Miss, hauled in a touchdown catch through contact to give the Rebels a two-posession lead.

Three-and-out: OM 7, MU 3: 12:13 remaining in Q2

Missouri went three-and-out for the first time today. Simmons found Olugbode for 8 yards on the first play, but an illegal shift on the third play and a batted pass on the fourth forced the Tigers to punt. Ole Miss will begin its next drive at its own 39-yard line.

Special teams misdirection: OM 7, MU 3: 13:32 remaining in Q2

Ole Miss lined up to kick a 62-yard field goal with Chambliss as the holder only to move Chambliss under center and eventually call a timeout. Odom was flagged for a false start to back the Rebels up to fourth-and-12, forcing a punt that MU returner DaMarion Fowlkes fair caught at the MU 12-yard line.

First Quarter

First punt: OM 7, MU 3: 3:15 remaining in Q1

Simmons found Olugbode for the wideouts fourth catch of the contest, then hit Cayden Lee for a 22-yard reception. The Tigers' drive stalled out shortly after, ending with Simmons narrowly missing Olugbode downfield on third down, and Brunno Reus punting from the 51-yard line for a touchback.

Rebels fire back: OM 7, MU 3: 5:42 remaining in Q1

Tailbacks Kewan Lacy and Makhi Frazier hit their stride on the ground, fueling the Rebels on an 8-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that ended in Chambliss hitting Caleb Odom for a 10-yard touchdown. Ole Miss already has more rushing yards (65) than Florida or A&M had against Missouri in the entire respective games.

Mizzou marches downfield, settles for 3: MU 3, OM 0: 8:16 remaining in Q1

Simmons led the Tigers into Ole Miss territory quick, completing five of his six passes for 61 yards on the first drive. Olugbode caught three balls for 39 yards, and Roberts rushed for 9 yards on three carries. A dropped touchdown by Montgomery and a false start penalty — Mizzou's second of the game — forced the Tigers to settle for a 27-yard field goal.

Mizzou forces Rebels off early: 0-0, 12:46 remaining in Q1

Missouri forced Ole Miss off the field after one first down through six plays. The Rebels forced Missouri to take a timeout before punting by initially keeping their offense on the field. Chambliss is 1 of 4 passing for 5 yards, and Lacy rushed for 9 yards on two attempts.

OXFORD, MISS. — No. 13 Mizzou football (5-1, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) is set to take on No. 9 Ole Miss (4-1, 2-1) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, presenting an opportunity for the Tigers to get their first road win over a ranked SEC opponent since beating No. 24 Kentucky on Oct. 14, 2023.

It's a homecoming for three Tigers, quarterback Austin Simmons, receiver Cayden Lee and cornerback Chris Graves, who all transferred from Ole Miss to Missouri over the offseason. But for the trio, the game isn't about revenge, rather another opportunity for the Tigers to better themselves as they progress into the thick of a tough conference schedule.

Missouri is fresh off a 27-6 win over Texas A&M on Saturday that gave Missouri back-to-back conference wins for the first time since the final two games of its 2024 season. Ole Miss, on the other hand, handed Vanderbilt a 52-17 beatdown to pick up momentum after a blowlout loss to Florida the game prior.

Running back Jamal Roberts enters the matchup with back-to-back games of 200-plus rushing yards, becoming the first Tiger tailback since 2000 to do so. He's set to clash with an Ole Miss run defense that's allowed the most rushing yards per game (176.4) in the SEC through five games.

Simmons will face the man who took his job as the Rebels' starting quarterback last season, Trinidad Chambliss. Chambliss stepped in after Simmons injured his left ankle in Week 2 and played too well to sit upon Simmons' return to health. Chambliss guided the Rebels to the College Football Playoff semifinal in 2025, and has thrown for 1,453 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2026.

A win for Missouri could propel the Tigers to into the AP top 10 for the first time since Week 6 of the 2024 season.

Injury report

Missouri linebacker Jeremiah Beasley and tight end Brett Norfleet were listed as questionable on Friday night's SEC Student Athlete Availability Report. Both were listed as game-time decisions on Saturday's report and were warming up on the sidelines.

ESPN's Pete Thamel reported on Friday night that defensive tackle Sterling Webb would be a game-time decision.
