What to Know - Notre Dame: Notre Dame looks to finish the season with a winning road record when it heads to Stanford for Thanksgiving weekend. The Irish have won their last two trips to Stanford and look to win three straight on The Farm for the first time since 2003, 2005 and 2007. Notre Dame has a handful of players who will have to decide their future after Saturday’s game. The most notable are running back Audric Estime and safety Xavier Watts. Estime has five 100-plus yard rushing games this season and has 1,103 yards entering Saturday’s game. Watts leads the nation with seven interceptions and is a finalist for the Bronco Nagurski defensive player of the year award. Both have remaining eligibility but could declare for the NFL draft. Estime said last week that he has not made a decision on whether he will play in Notre Dame’s bowl game.

What to Know – Stanford: This is the 37th all-time meeting between the Irish and Cardinal. Notre Dame leads the series 22-14 but saw the Legend’s Trophy go back to Palo Alto last year when Stanford won 16-14 in South Bend. First year head coach Troy Taylor has a much different looking offense than the smash mouth power brand that David Shaw ran. Quarterbacks Ashton Daniels, who has thrown for more than 2,000 yards and rushed for 295 more, is likely to be on the field at the same time as fellow QB Justin Lamson (485 passing yards, 252 rushing). Five of Daniels’ 11 touchdown passes this season have gone 40+ yards. Stanford has the No. 126 scoring defense and No. 127 pass efficiency and total defense in the nation. Saturday’s game will be televised on the Pac-12 Network. The network does not have wide distribution.
